Habitat for Humanity Indonesia

Habitat for Humanity Indonesia was established on May 1, 1997 and currently has 4 branch offices, namely Batam, Jakarta, Yogyakarta and Surabaya. Its largest program was rebuilding after the December 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami with more than 8,000 families helped. The increase in capacity enabled Habitat Indonesia to respond to other disasters and reach out to more families in need. Team Leader

Barb Bjarneson: I’m very excited to be leading a team to Indonesia. This is my 29th GV build and 19th as a team leader. It is quite obvious that we are hooked and believe you will be too. I can’t wait to meet our team in Yogjakarta Indonesia.

Dave Bjarneson: We have volunteered with Habitat since 1997 & have visited many incredible places through the GV program. The rewards of these trips are found in personal growth, experiencing new cultures and making new friends. I am looking forward to another shared experience during my 25th GV build.

Please feel free to contact us at barb.n.daves.global.village@gmail.com if you would like to learn more about this trip or apply now using the on-line application!
