About Habitat for Humanity Bolivia:

Habitat for Humanity Bolivia projects are focused on partnership with Bolivian families living in substandard and unhealthy conditions. Approximately 60% of the population of Bolivia does not have stable living conditions and lack access to health, education, housing, employment, and formal financial credit programs. There is also a deficit in the quality of housing and the environment. Many homes have been built without proper materials or construction practices. Most often they do not have any basic services needed to accommodate a family.

At Habitat for Humanity Bolivia, we support the repair, improvement, expansion, and construction of new homes through alliances with both public and private entities to promote community development. We believe that adequate housing can break the cycle of poverty for good.

Meet the Team Leader: Kareem Boulos

Hi, I’m Kareem, and live in Toronto. I work in advertising and love it. It keeps me pretty busy, but I try to get away at least once a year on a build, if for nothing else, to cleanse the soul, but always have an unforgettable experience.

I did my first GV trip to Guatemala about 15 years ago and then a second trip to Ghana a few years later. That’s when I caught the HFH bug and decided I wanted to get more involved. I became a TL about 9 years ago. Since then, I’ve lead a number of trips across the map including Chile, The Philippines, Cambodia, The Yukon, among others. This will be my 2nd trip to Bolivia, I did a build in 2018 and had such an amazing experience I couldn’t wait to go back Really hope you can join me on this epic adventure!

Please feel free to reach out to me at kboulos@gmail.com.
